Valeria Golovenkina (b. 1996) is an artist based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, whose practice is mainly centered on her creative research of personal identity within the scope of her professional interests, since she is currently enrolled on her education program as a future psychologist.


She utilizes various media in order to explore mind-body connection, vulnerability, psychological injuries. Leaning on a combination of existential therapy and psychoanalytic methods, Valeria invites her viewers to consider an opportunity to look deep within themselves.The arsenal of the art media is selected for each separate concept statement chosen by Valeria. The complex and plastic nature of water color allows the expression of a multitude of emotions, with the help of genres from photorealism to abstraction, from subtle pastel shades to saturated deep colors. The creative possibilities of oil and thin gold leaves introduce refined effect together with immersing the viewer in thoughts on personal integrity. The viewer interaction at a tactile level is achieved through exploration of the quality opportunities of plastic bodies.

Valeria Golovenkina (b 1996) is an artist based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Her practice is centered on her creative research of personal identity and the study of psyche, as a student of psychology.

A number of techniques has been acquired by Golovenkina during her many years of artistic practice as a watercolor artist. She is currently working with various media including natural materials and ceramics. Works are in private collections in the US, Europe, China and Russia.
